Our Stories
Sharing inspiring stories from over 20 years of service delivery.
Connor
Connor was diagnosed at the age of 2, going on to start an intensive intervention regime for the next 3 years. It has been 2 years since this story was written and Connor is now in high school, performing at a high academic level. He has a group of supportive friends but continues to experience hardships from time to time.
Luke
Now 16, Luke began his intervention journey at the age of 2, with no receptive or expressive language. With the help of his dedicated family and intervention team, Luke overcame his language and social deficits. He is now an articulate young man who has offered insight into his own intervention journey and explains what it is like to live with Autism.
Josh
Josh, now in year 10, is thinking about his future employment prospects. He has remained driven with his studies throughout high school and is now focused on getting a part time job and was recently accepted into a Cert III course at TAFE. Advocating for Josh has become a full time job for his parents, Jan and Andrew and with some significant achievements, there has also been an ongoing struggle in ensuring educators see the potential that we see in Josh.
Matthew
Mat was diagnosed at 1 ½ with a Global Developmental Delay. A year later, he received an ASD diagnosis and thanks to his dedicated parents who had extensively researched treatment options, he started on an intensive ABA program with ISADD soon after diagnosis.
